Our Scene-A-Rama line was developed to supply the materials to do the projects that the imagination ignites. We do not include exact instructions on the dioramas that we show on our product packaging. We only give tips and techniques on how to use the materials included. This is due to the fact that if the materials are used for a school project assigned by a teacher, that student would rely solely on the instructions to complete the project rather than their creativity and imagination. Also, teachers run the possibility of receiving multiple 'cookie-cutter' projects from their students.
The Project Base & Backdrop is sold separately from the Diorama Kits, which include the Basic Diorama Kit (SP4110), Mountain Diorama Kit (SP4111), Desert Oasis Diorama Kit (SP4112) and Water Diorama Kit (SP4113). We have Project Packs which include everything you need, including the base in one convenient kit. These are currently available in the Native American Village (SP4280), Erupting Volcano (SP4281), Creative Mask and More (SP4282) and the Cell Structure (SP4283).
To fill in the Plaster cloth holes you can patch it with additional Plaster Cloth by cutting small pieces, wetting and placing them over the area that is in question. You can also use Lightweight Hydrocal by mixing it according to the directions and placing it over the holes as a paste or use Flex Paste to spread over the area. Any of these methods will work to seal all the holes in the Plaster Cloth.
If you are using our scenery products, it may not be necessary to have all the holes completely filled in with plaster from the cloth, unless you are preparing any water areas. For landscape areas, the holes will be covered with turf products such as grasses and bushes which would disguise any imperfections. For water areas though, it must be sealed air tight to prevent leakage and air bubbles appearing.
